More than two-thirds of prospective homebuyers in the UK believe safety and absence of crime as the most important factors in search residential properties for purchase and for rent.
In a survey among potential buyers of property in the UK, it was found that about 72% of potential buyers, which is equivalent to 30.1 million people think the lack of crime is one of the most important factors in finding housing, and 49% would like to find a quiet place for your future home. Only 1% of respondents said they would like to live in a busy area. In London people are more tolerant of the criminal situation, however, 60% of buyers of London still believe crime is the most undesirable factor if we will go about buying real estate.

For people aged 18 to 24 years it is important to live near work, it said 44%, and 52% of young people said they would like to live close to their parents.
Another important factor, which assessed 35% of respondents, is the availability of Parking, 27% consider important the availability of public transport , and 25% – availability of schools.
Another undesirable factor UK residents believe the nearby sewage treatment plants. This factor will stop you from moving 43% of potential property buyers. Such undesirable factors as the presence of nearby airport and taking off of aircraft, deter from the purchase or lease of 25 % of potential customers. And although many British traditional dream to a pub or a restaurant was right at the threshold of their home, yet 14 % of people admitted that it is desirable that there was a certain remoteness of their homes from these institutions.
In the UK realtors, there is an old adage: the Three most important criteria when choosing a property: “1. Location. 2. Location 3. Location” In this sense it is as relevant as ever. You can only specify that in the first place is the absence of crime in the area, the second calm, the third place – the availability of Parking.
