The construction industry of great Britain, encouraged by rising prices in the property market and the unprecedented demand for housing, shows excellent performance, which in turn increases the overall optimism in the real estate market and the UK economy as a whole.
The Minister of construction in the UK Kris Hopkins has announced that 200,000 new affordable apartments came on the market for 4 years since April 2010. And in March 2014 launched the construction 41654 new real estate, which is 15% more than in March 2013.
In addition now on the market of 125,000 housing units, from 170,000 units under the program “available secure housing,” in which the government, along with private foundations have invested £19.5 billion .

The total number of housing units ( referring to available and other, more expensive housing) placed on the market from the beginning of April 2010 – 445000. And for the period between 1997 and 2010, the market received about 420,000 units of residential property. This means that the construction industry in the UK is now at its peak, beginning in 2007.
The affordable housing program, under which the market received the 200,000 affordable homes and apartments, consists of three parts – the supply of affordable housing for rent affordable housing on a shared ownership and affordable housing, social purpose. All three programs is a government program long-term assistance to the construction industry. In addition, the program resolves the issue of employment, providing jobs to many thousands of workers employed in the construction industry.
City where was built the largest number of affordable housing over the past 4 years is the Birmingham – 2740 housing units, Cornwall – 2690, Wiltshire – 2620, Leeds 1910, Bristol – 1830 Manchester – 1810.
A fifth of the affordable homes built in the first half of this year the pace of housing construction has grown significantly in 2014.
