Property prices in the UK rose by 9.8% by December 2014. Annual growth in December declined slightly compared with the annual growth to November 2014, when prices were at the level of 9.9%.
Growth statistics was spoiled a little by the seasonal factor, when traditionally, the activity of buyers is reduced.
According to information provided by the National Statistics Office of UK, price inflation for residential property in the UK was 10.2% in England, 4% in Wales, 5.5% in Scotland, 4.9% in Northern Ireland.
Housing prices continue to rise across the UK, but the highest growth in prices seen in London.
The main growth in property prices in England due to rising prices in London, where property prices grew by 13.3%. A little weaker indicators in the South East of England, 11.5 per cent and the East at 11.4%.
If we exclude from the statistics London and the South East of England, the growth in housing prices across the UK rose by 7.4% over the 12 months of 2014.

In the unanimous opinion of representatives from different real estate agencies, property prices in London will not be able to grow at such a pace in 2015. This is evidenced by the fact that the slowdown in prices at the end of 2014. After a strong start in early 2014, at the end of the year it became evident that the London property market adjusts to new realities and there is a redistribution of capital.
Prices in London remain high and the market is very strong, but the driver of price growth is now becoming the regions of the UK, because the real estate market in a cheap sector supported the government’s “Help to buy”.
Reduced rates of Stamp duty for low-cost real estate and record low interest rates on loans and in 2015 will contribute to good sales in the market of residential property in the UK.
