The UK government vowed to build hundreds of thousands of new homes. However, a new survey conducted by the HomeOwner Alliance, revealed that many people in the UK do not want to live in a new house, and prefer housing built a few years ago, or several decades ago.
People believe that new apartments and houses is too small, faceless and unimportant quality. According to the survey, only 21% of respondents would really like to buy a new home. And 47% would like to live in a house that was built 10 years ago or more.
38% of the interviewed believe that the quality of construction leaves much to be desired and it actually is the main reason for the unpopularity of new housing. A third otpisanih unhappy with the small size of the housing, impersonality and a small garden.
The government needs to take into account the results of the study and to build more such houses in England where people really want to live and not be guided only by the desire to build a quick, easy and cheap.

Solving the main problem – the problem of lack of housing, a government must not only pursue only material benefits. Times change, and now people do not just want to have a roof over your head, as it was immediately after the war, and want to have a spacious, comfortable and quality accommodation.
However, there is a positive aspect in the construction of new homes. This new pipeline, and communications. All respondents agreed that the high cost of utilities and other energy efficiency – certainly, the main advantage of the new homes.
Construction companies are often forced into tight deadlines for delivery of objects, which negatively affects the quality of new homes.
According to official data, last year in Britain was built about 120,000 new properties. This, of course, more than in 2013, but it is only half of the demand that there is on the market today, where according to approximate data, it is necessary to build roughly 240,000 houses a year. Cameron’s government promises to bring the annual level of supply up to 200,000 homes, and for young consumers under 40 years of promises to provide 20% discount , allowing them to live in their own house now.
