The biggest increase in property prices in 2015 were in the area of Newham London

At the end of the year, traditionally summing up the results, the Bank is Halifax , the British as the primary borrower, has published its traditional report on changes in property prices over the year in different areas of the UK.

Distinguished London district of Newham, where the average price of real estate was 22% higher than last year, rising over the year from £261399 to £319522 and showing double increase in prices compared to the rest of London.

The second result in price growth showed the town of Royston in Hertfordshire, where housing prices rose by 19%. In addition, 10 regions were in the top of the list are located in London or the South East of England. The town of Stroud in Gloucestershire, Wellingborough and Northamptonshire and Solihull in the West Midlands was in the lead in price growth outside London and the South-East, showing an increase of 14% to 15% over the past year.

Ten of the worst areas in terms of growth in property prices in the UK are outside London and the South-East. The only exception is the most expensive area not just in London but across the UK – Kensington and Chelsea, where prices rose by only 1% over the past year.

All of the districts, which recorded the highest growth in property prices in England, located in the suburbs of London, in close proximity to the capital of the United Kingdom. Over the past five years London has experienced unprecedented growth in property prices and many young professionals and families moving to the suburbs, fueling demand for more affordable housing.

Only a few areas of the UK showed a slight decrease in property prices. Traditionally, those areas which have a weak economy and low employment and, consequently, on local property markets is the place the weak demand for housing.
