Wages in the real estate sector in the UK continues to grow, outpacing the average wage in the country.
By 2016, the average income of a professional in the real estate market in the UK grew by 7.1% , but the labor market still exists the income gap between women and men.
Men earn £12,000 per year more than women.
A study conducted by the Royal institution of chartered surveyors in conjunction with the “McDonald and company” shows that men in the real estate market earn £57509 pounds a year and women £45689.

The gap declined slightly over the year from 27% to 25.9% in 2016. Very much the difference in income is felt in the youngest age category of employees, where the gap is 28.7%.
The report says that the real estate market of the UK there are hunting for professionals that promotes the growth of wages. Average income growth for those professionals who had changed their employer, made up of 16.2% over the past year.
Meanwhile , the rapid growth of wages in the industry is not very true for women, whose salaries are growing much slower than men’s wages. Industry needs to take urgent measures in order to balance working conditions and to reduce the gap.
RICS conducted the analysis in accordance with the new “Quality Program of the Employer” within which information is shared with employers. The fact that there was a significant migration of professionals, suggests that the market is not balanced and employers need a more flexible approach to the selection of its staff.
Employees of the real estate sector in London continue to earn on average £65050 per year, which is 20.8% more than in the South of England and 52.2% greater than in Ireland. Revenue growth professionals outside London are extremely slow – only 2% in Scotland and 1% in Central England.
Of great importance in the sector is of special education – those professionals who were educated in RICS earn on average £69885, those who do not have special education, earn £43905.
