184Views

Almost every third person renting an apartment or a house in the UK, cannot even imagine themselves as owner of their own homes.

The rental sector of real estate in the UK is increasing. More than 31% of people believe they will never be able to buy a house, and 21% believe that the abolition of tax exemptions in April 2017 for investors has led to a decrease in the number of affordable housing for rent on the market. Many tenants fear a rent increase due to the cancellation of tax benefits, and 6% said that rent increases associated with a change in the tax law, has already taken place. Landlords are not willing to lower its yield, gradually raise rents.

A survey conducted by CoCompare Mortgages showed that the main reason why the British rent – a lack of access to credit and inability to save for a Deposit.

Social picture of tenants as follows: 57% female, 43% male, 39% are single tenants, 28% of families with children, 23% couples, and divides every tenth apartment or house with a roommate.

The April change in the tax legislation which lowered the income of the landlords , only exacerbated the problems with the affordability of housing in the UK. Rent increase, which resulted from a tightening of the tax burden of landlords, leads to the fact that the financial possibilities of the tenants are even worse, that deprives them of prospects to make the first step in the direction of buy their own homes.
