The total number of objects of real estate in UKfor sale in August decreased by 13% compared with July. The biggest drop in the number of housing market was in Coventry and Winchester.
August is historically a quiet month for sellers of real estate. But even have to take into account the seasonality factor and to compare with last year, the number of housing units sold in August 2017 was 5.9% less than in August 2016. Approximately 70% of the cities in the UK saw a drop in the number of residential properties that came on the market.
But there are cities which recorded an increase in the supply of new housing.
In Salford the number of new objects increased by 28.5%, in Oxford 25.6% in Doreene 25% in Hamel Hampstead 24.7% in Basinstoke 22.2% in York by 22.1% and Castelforte 21.7%.
The real estate market of London in 30 of 32 districts recorded a decrease in the number of objects for sale. A particularly large fall was in the Richmond district, where the number of objects sold was umenshilos 42.2%.
Despite the fact that, traditionally, August is a stagnant month, the downward trend in the number of objects on the market compared to last year is very worrying. This indicates a stagnation of the market – a decrease in the activity of sellers is due to their insecurity and low level of construction. These processes once again exposed the basic problem of the market of real estate of great Britain– demand imbalance that continues to grow and the proposal falls. It is on these tasks should focus the efforts of the government.
